STRENGTH OPTIMIZATION: SHOULDERS
Shoulders are complicated. They require coordination between the arm, shoulder blade and rib cage. They are the most mobile joint in the body so they require a precise balance of mobility and strength. And we ask a lot out of them in our every day function and even in our sleep.

Most people just avoid what hurts their shoulders but this doesn’t actually resolve anything. If you have been managing shoulder pain, have a history of shoulder injuries or just don’t want your shoulders to be your weak link anymore, this workshop is for you!

In 90 minutes we will go over the requirements for shoulder health, simple things you can do at home to improve your shoulder function and ways of optimizing your shoulder strength gains in your fitness classes.

This session is part of a four-session series on Strength Optimization. In this series, Jenny Putt PT goes over how to improve the quality of what you are already doing so that you can feel better and be stronger than ever before without changing what classes you go to. Each workshop targets a different muscle group (see below) so either pick the one that you seem to have the most trouble accessing or come to them all! GOAT instructor, Mette Griffith, will also be assisting Jenny to ensure that everyone in the workshop walks away feeling confident in their ability to apply what you learn in the next class you attend.
