LES MILLS Strength Development is a series of progressive workouts. This summer series is 8 weeks (24 workouts) and includes a weekly CORE workout in addition to the two strength sessions. Core training options are: Tues 4:30p, Thurs 6:30a, Thurs 4:30p, Sat 10:15a and Sun 8a. We will email you to confirm which you would like to do.
SD is suitable for all fitness levels and abilities. Whether new to lifting or a seasoned pro, Strength Development (SD) will build muscle, improve technique, and grow your confidence so you can train more powerfully.
The workouts are based on strength and conditioning science and carefully designed to build strength in phases. SD uses a variety of tempos for each exercise that change the time under tension, as well as rep-ranges depending on the prescribed protocol of the workout. Within each working block of work you will be guided to increase your weight while still moving safely. Workout focus will be either Foundational Strength, Hypertrophy, or Pure Strength making each week different and dynamic. This type of training strengthens your bones and the stabilizing muscles around your joints. It makes your glutes, hamstrings and quads so much more powerful, plus it strengthens your core and upper body muscle groups as well. With SD training you will feel strong and in control, ready to confidently take on any other activity or just LIFE!
